Animal Farm
- allegory of Russian Revolution of 1917
- On a simple level, it’s a story about farm animals who rise up against the cruel owner of their farm. On adeeper level, the story represents humankind and how people are treated by society and their governments.

- Mr.Jones: Tsar
- Old Mayor: Karl Marx/ Vladimir Lenin
- Napoleon: Josif Stalin
- Snowball : Leon Trotskyj
- Squealer: Vyacheslav Molotov/ Pravda
Plot summary
- old pig, named Major, addressing his fellow animals, Major criticises Mr. Jones
- Old Major dies a few days later,animals have been inspired by his message.
- Seven commandments for animals
- The animals lead a rebellion against Mr Jones, whom they drive from the farm.
- Napoleon and Snowball require special treatment, they disagree with each other, Snowball wants to build a windmill
- Snowball is banished from the farm. They start building the windmill
- Pigs trade with humans
- Animals are starved,weak and old, pigs are getting fatter and fatter
- Partnership between pigs and humans
Ending:
- “The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.”
