Introduction
Nowadays we can find a lot of quick and simple options that make our day easier when it comes to talk about fast food. We go to the supermarket and we can find ready meals, which with few minutes in the microwave will give us a delicious dish. However, which is the price we pay in order to accept those quick options as the easy way to provide to our body the energy needs. All those products contain a high chemical levels since they need to be stored for a long time, and wanted or not, sooner or later we can feel it in our system.
CLASSIFYING FOOD
The beginning of the Realfooding in Spain.
Carlos Rios is a Spanish nutricionist who began to promote the Realfooding movement in Spain with the use of books as ‘Come comida real una guia para transformar tu alimentacion y tu salud’. ‘Come comida real a recipe book’ (2019) Showing some tips on how to change the way we are eating and taking care of our health.
After seeing the books made the beginning of a new change, he started to plan MyRealFood App, which was launched at the end of 2019. With the help of this application, users could scan products and check how healthy they are or not depending on the amount of chemicals, sugars and products not suitable for long-term health. Nowadays, they are working on opening a Realfooding supermarket in the hope of selling high-quality products without processed food.
Impact on society
It is no possible to continue hiding the damage that ultra-processed food (UPs) exert on health for much longer. Each time, its relationship with the bad results that hit people who consume them daily is more evident.
Impact of consumption of Ultra process food
Behind the relationship between UPs and cancer there are many mechanisms such as their genotoxic, pro-inflammatory, pro-oxidant potential, etc. That can tip the balance for the development of the disease through the accumulation of small daily damages.
poor diet (UPs) tobacco, sedentary lifestyle and other environment factors are behind 90% of all existing cancers.
UPs consumption was significantly associated with Colorectal cancer
Putting limits on advertising or putting a clear labelling on the UPs is not an attack on the freedom of people who, for different reasons, do not know the damage that these products generate on them and on their children. It is simply a way of generating greater wariness so that precisely, through freedom, it is possible to decide on equal terms.
WHAT HAPPEN IN OUR BODY IS WE HAVE A PROCESSED FOOD DIET
Legal and Ethical issues.
The world of the UPs has being running our society even long before we can remember. This is one of the reasons why large companies refuses to be able to facilitate the entry of the Realfooding into supermarkets and into the lives of citizens without fighting first.
- Better nutrition with less chemicals and
- less cancerous products into our body
- Use of national products,
- Using national products we help
- reducing the transportation of
- the products needed
- Healthier population, it might have as well
DISADVANTADGES
VS
- UK do not have the same facilities to produce some primary products as weather problems
- Bring quality vegetables could be expensive
- Bring vegetables to the UK involves not helping the environment as transportation pollution
- Big companies do not want to re-educate the population as those companies are generating huge quantities of money for them and the government
ADVANTADGES
More countries are fighting to create a healthier food environment, using as a principal product vegetables and more home made products. Basically, going back to what our grandparents used to run the kitchen during their earlier years. It is a fact, that a lot of companies would not get the benefit of this movement, however we could achieve a healthier world.
EVALUATION
