Racial segregation is a separation in a state that separates people according to their races, customs or religious affilation. The difference between racial segregation and racial discrimination is that racial segregation is an attitude which consists in distancing a race for example in buses some places were forbidden to black while racial discrimination does not consist in exclude a breed but to value on for example if a person has the choise to rent his apartment he will preferably choose a white.

  • Some jobs are occupied only by white people and remain inaccessible to blacks

Rosa Parks

Rosa Parks is an African American woman . She is a very important person in the history of racial segregation and is nicknamed "the mother of the civil rights movement". Rosa Parks refused to let her place to a white man on the bus. Martin Luther King launches a boycott company against the 380-day bus company. The Supreme Court then decides to abolish the law in the buses.

Born February 4, 1931 and died october 24, 2005
