Assessment Task 2 Unit 2 - Street and Mural Art

Material and Conceptual Practice
- For the construction of the work, 1,800 litres of white acrylic paint, 700 litres of colored paint and around 3,000 spray cans and 7 hydraulic lifts were used
- Used a combination of various techniques through a mix of brushes, airbrushes and spray paints
- Used geometric shapes, and swirling effects, allowing the people in his artwork to be brought to life

Cultural Frame:
- Represents the collective interests of a cultural group, with the painting of five human faces
- Depicted as representatives of Indigenous people from five continents, in reference to the five Olympic rings
Subjective Frame:
- Kobra does want his viewers to respond emotionally to the work as his artwork evokes memories of past cultures that still resonate with audiences today

The Conceptual Framework
- Kobra worked collaboratively on this project for 12 hours daily for two months with his team
- He wanted to “help remind us that we are all different but all one: the human race." The mural brought an idea of the union of people
- He also says “We’re living through a very confusing time with a lot of conflicts. I wanted to show that we are all connected.”

Conclusion
