Confidence and independence
Reflection
Skills and strategies
Creativity, originality, imagination
Knowledge and Understanding
Introduction
With these five dimensions of learning, we are going to understand the steps that all the students need to cross to get a good learning, taking into consideration that the process of learning is not something that the teachers can break down in steps because it occurs acording the pace of the student. Come with me to see each dimesion.
Confidence and independence
The best way to become confident and independent is through content knowledge, experience and reflection of your learning.
Skills and strategies
With the passing of time within education, new tools for education have been developed, as well as the use of the Internet by teachers and students.
That is why skills and strategies are very important in education, since they represent knowing how to do or master a particular subject.
Knowledge and understanding
Knowledge and understanding refer to acquired "content" knowledge in particular subject areas. Knowledge and understanding is the most familiar dimension, focusing on the "know what" aspect of learning. Knowledge and understanding in such classes include what students are learning about the topics; search methods; the theories, concepts and practices of a discipline; the methods of organizing and presenting our ideas to others, etc.
Use of prior and emerging experience
I consider that the previous experience refers to remembering and putting into practice what each individual has been through, and it is based on it to face and seek a solution to any inconvenience that may arise, and the emerging experience would relate to the previous experience, since this experience induces the individual to react abruptly to the situation in which he finds himself.
Reflection
Reflection refers to the development of consciousness. When we talk about reflection as a crucial component of learning. We refer to the development of the student's ability to take a step back and consider a situation critically and analytically. a kind of metacognition. It is necessary to develop this capacity to use what they are learning in other contexts to recognize the limitations in that way to take advantage of their knowledge and strengthen their performance
Creativity, originality, imagination
When students acquire confidence and independence in knowledge and understanding they become more and more lucid and experimental, i.e. more creative in learning, this happens in all fields of research, argumentative, mathematical, social as well as others, the success is to unite all the parameters and turn them into a single value in order to achieve success.
