General overview for Staffing for TBU Contract Teachers
Staffing for contract (permanent) teachers is done throughout the year. You must have an account with Apply to Education in order to apply. The Teacher's Bargaining Unit (TBU) Collective Agreement governs how teachers are hired into contract (permanent) positions. This is governed by Article 21 and Article 23 of the Collective Agreement. Staffing is based on Seniority, Qualifications, Deemed Qualifications and/or Mutual Consent for those already on the Seniority list prior to an external candidate.
