Banksy

Banksy is a world-famous street-art artist, applying the stencil technique. His real identity is not known, so Banksy is a pseudonym. Nevertheless, he posts his works on his instagram account to share with the users of the network his opinions on the news.

The flag that begins to burn may represent the patriotic principles and values that burn because of racism in the murder of George Floyd, racism does not respect the principles of America. The picture is rather dark : the black color symbolizes rather negative values. Darkness makes us think of fear, anguish, the unknown, loss, emptiness and death.

The painting has no name, but we know that he pay tribute to George Floyd. • It is an online artwork depicting a portrait of a black figure surrounded by a candle from a memorial that begins to set fire to the flag of the United States. This art stand for a place of meditation where there is a black silhouette in a frame, itself surrounded by flowers and candles, one of which burns the American flag drawn above it.
