Make students act out the story (read the phrases and mime the actions).

Make students make up a dialogue between the main characters.

Brainstorm some typical phrases used by Lock and Key ("No problem, Lock!" ; "Oh no, Key!")
Students might find it difficult to make up a dialogue
Give Ss prompts to start the phrases with (Let's ... / It's a good idea to.../ Look, there's .../ We need to../ Shall we...?/ Can we....?)
Put strong and weak Ss in pairs
