KEY FEATURES

How To USE/ Purpose

Students can: - insert text on a variety of fun graphics - add props and chaaracters to capture the elements in their writing or even design their own - add backgrounds that inspire students to develop a setting - insert their own photos to capture their creativity in other elements rather than writing - add their own voiceover to hear their stories come together when they are finished

This website is very easy to use, as all the elements are available on one page with no excessive web extensions to follow and end up lost. It is used for creating stories and structuring events in a manner that can help students develop the sequence of their stories, while also adding elements that help them come to life. Story Jumper differs from traditional writing practicesdeu to its interactive elements that help students visualize their stories and allow them to hear what they write be read back to them.

Applications in the Classroom

where is this placed in the samr model? Click On the 'a' for an explanation.

  1. Students could use the features to insert props, characters, and backgrounds and then write about what they see in order to practice their skills with forming detailed descriptions.
  2. Students could work collaboratively with the feature that allows them to share their work with their classmates through email. Peer revisions will help them share their ideas more freely without the boundary of nervousness to speak out in class. This way, everyone will have a chance to contribute to the conversation and take advice from their peers to better their writing.
  3. Students could use this website to create newspaper articles that will help them learn to better connect with their community and report events without bias.
