Inside the string instruments, we have 3 different groups:

3. WIND INSTRUMENTS

The sound is produced by the vibration of the air inside a tube. We distinguish 2 different groups:

BRASS

WOODWIND

FLIPPLE: the sound is produced by the vibration of the air against an edge

• Trumpet
• Trombone
• French Horn
• Tuba

• Recorder
• Transverse flute

SIMPLE REED: the sound is produced by the vibration of a reed.

• Clarinet
• Saxophone

DOBLE REED: the sound is produced by the vibration of 2 reeds, one against the other.

• Oboe
• Bassoon

We divide percussion instruments into 2 groups:

Pitched percussion

These instruments don't have different pitches and we can't play different notes.

These instruments have different pitches and are able to play melodies
