silent as much as possible in the classroom but the learner should be
encouraged to produce as much language as possible.
It is a method designed to enable students to become independent, autonomous and responsable learners.

The focus of the method is students needs and abilities.

Teacher does not provide the knowledge, students are suppoused to make their own discoveries.

The Silent Method was created by Caleb Gattengo, Egyptian author in 1960s.
