Second Conditional
The Second conditional is used to talk about situations that are unlikely (not probable) or unreal. It can refer to the present or the future.
If clause Main clause If + past simple + Would + infinitive without to If I had your figure, I wouldn't eat all these cakes If we didn't have a car, We would find it difficult to get about If I had a million dollars I would buy two houses
Third Conditional
The Third Conditional is used to speculate about the imaginary result of things which didn’t happen.
If clause Main clause If + past perfect + Would + have + verb in past participle If we had gone earlier, we would have had better weather If Mathew had phoned her, Emma wouldn't have been so annoyed If you hadn't made that mistake, you would have passed your test
