Poaching Foundation Of Kenya

Poaching Foundation Of Kenya was founded in August 2011. Its aim is to combat poaching in Kenya in order to protect and preserve the animals. First of all, to prevent this, we carry out awareness campaigns every two months, which often result in the population being impressed with the importance of preserving wildlife. More over, we set up armed guards in the places where poaching is most frequent. Finally, we are planning to put sensors directly on the animals to follow their movements. Of course the sensors do not hurt the animals and have no impact on their health. Since the beginning of the foundation we have already seen a 31% decrease in elephant poaching in the country.
