The origins of Christmas comes from both the pagan and roman culture. As time passes, christianity spreads out through all Europe, the Christian Clergy realizes they cant convert the pagans and romans into christians, so, since no one knew Jesus's birthday, they addapted this pagan ritual into their own celebrations. Ever since, Christmas was know as a christian celebration.
