I'VE WORKED IN RADIO FOR (WHAT FEELS LIKE) CENTURIES

• I grew up in Ardrossan, Ayrshire.

• I've lived in Glasgow for a long, long, long time.

• I studied Italian and French at University a long, long, long time ago.

• I moved to Italy when I was 11 years old for a year and lived there again when I was 21.

• I also lived in Toronto when I was 25.

• I worked at the BBC Radio Scotland for a long, long, long time.

• My first job was writing subtitles for the news.

• I eventually got a job in the Music department as a researcher.

• I've produced almost every music show on the station plus comedy shows, magazine shows, phone-ins, Children in Need, etc.

• I do loads of podcasting in my spare time.

AND SOMEWHERE IN THE MIDDLE OF ALL THAT...

I was the drummer in a rock band for about 5 years of my life.We were moderately popular for a hot minute with a very specific, very devoted crowd.I got a free Xbox out of it.

• I'm happy to answer any questions you have about anything radio-related.

• What we cover here will feed into your bigger project work.

• We'll be looking at a variety of different scripts in this block.

• Classes will be on Zoom. I beg you to put your cameras on and be present.

• I'll aim to make the classes as fun as possible.
