- plays a huge role in destruction of environment, especially climate change)
- there are so many losers due to globalisation
- inequalities have to be reduced
- it is understandable to want to protect your own country from foreign competition
- growing dependence from other countries
- increase of homogenisation
- consumerism, not globalisation, is to blame for the destruction of environment
- there are organisations which try to protect the rights of workers in developing countries
- we should not create new trade barriers
- global trade is good for the economy of the country

- a movement towards a less connected world, characterized by powerful nation states, local solutions, and border controls rather than global institutions, treaties, and free movement
- characterised by protectionist measures
