1492: Christopher Columbus discovers America by accident.

1621: To thank the Natives (the Wampanoag tribe), the English settlers invited them to a dinner. It was the first Thanksgiving.

1620: Another English colony is founded in America. Its name is Plymouth colony.

1600's-1776: the British were controlling America.

1775-1783: the Americans decided to declare war to the British to become independent.

1776: The United States declare their independence with the Declaration of Independence.

American football: American Football is the most popular sport in America. Football is more Popular in the South of America, Like Texas, Florida, and California. With the attraction of money and fame, football is the most popular sport in America.

Basketball: Basketball is one of the most popular sports in the USA after Football & Baseball. Basketball competitions are organized under the National Basketball Association (NBA). NBA has produced some greatest basketball players like Michael Jordan and LeBron James.

Hockey: It is the 4th most popular sport in America. Hockey is more popular in the North of America. In North America, the National Hockey League (NHL) is the highest level for men’s hockey and the most popular. With the introduction of artificial ice rinks, hockey has today become one of the most popular pass-time indoor sport.
