Escape Game : An inevitable underwater explosion
Click on the submarine to go inside !
Well, could save the submarine ????
Now leave the bedroom by wich you came throught your walkie-talkie !
Good evening James, I am rick, the mission's coordinator. We have a huge issue and you're the only one who can save us. You have been sent into a nuclear submarine whose bomb has accidently been activated and all the occupants have leaved. When you're ready, start by finding the time remaining, then get to the bomb and disable it!
Can you see the little notebook ?
2x² - 2x - 1
Turn the page to see the countdown !
Since I have a very bad memory, I chose a very simple way to remember the time we have to leave the submarine
The margin the person who will save the submarine has is equal to the discriminant of the function seen on the preceding page
a) 18
b) 0
c) 12
d) 8
The discrimant is equal to b squared, minus four time a time c Example : for the function : 2x² - 3x - 2, Its discriminant is (-3)² - 4x2x(-2) and is equal to 9 +18=27
Well, now move forward through the door in the middle
Oh no the next door is locked, but I can see an entry code on the right
13 21 34
A) 55 89 144
B) 15 46 54
C) 68 113 226
D) 42 55 63
Think about a famous sequence (beginning by something like "Fi...") !
Nice! Let's go to the next room now...
Oh no! This door is blocked by a big rock !
Can you see the point between the rock and the thread ?
You found a lever that activates the rope, what force should you chose?
Be careful, too much force would break the rope and let the rock in front of the door !
The rock has a mass of 1000kg
100N
1000N
10000N
106N
You need to apply a force a bit higher than the weight of the rock, which you can calculate with the formula : weight = mass*g (g≈ 9,8).
Perfect, continue your path !
Hurry ! Disable the bomb by cutting the red cable !
Find something which looks like an electrical panel
Find the LED and disconnect it !
In the international system, a LED is represented by a triangle and a vertical/horizontal bar opposite depending on the way you look on it
t mort
Great, now come back to the bomb!
Click to deactivate !
Cut the right cable ! If you cant tell the difference, maybe try to turn the red light off...
We have been told lies, there is no red cable ! select one anyways, maybe luck will save us all.
Oh no ! you have cut the wrong cable ! Now you have to leave as quick as possible !
Oh what is that ? I guess it is your possible way out ! But before you have to calculate if it is the good solution
The little notebook might help us for our calculations...
Depth : 340m
Pressure : 35 bar
Lung volume : 3,5l
Pressure to the surface : 1 bar
Now, what is my lung volume to the surface ?
a) 156 l
b) 118 l
c) 122.5 l
d) 133, 8 l
Remember that : Pressure x Volume = Constant So thatconstant could be interesting...
In this way, our result means that you have have your lung empty when you will left the submarine
Click on the door situated in the right hand corner to leave the submarine
You Succeed !!
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ????
Will your calculations be correct ?
You ..... Succeed !!
THE END
(Don't worry you have to remember that the submarine has been destroyed by a nuclear bomb)
