Hyeanidae. Hyenas can be mostly found in Africa. They can adapt to almost any habitat and are found in grasslands, woodlands, savannas, forests, deserts and mountains. There are four main species of hyena: the spotted, striped and brown hyena and the aardwolf.

The species is not loved by humans due to their capability to attack humans. Disney made hyenas look stupid, cowardly and selfish in the movie The Lion King. . Hyenas are not endangered. Population: 5,000 to 14,000. . To help them to be more loved, we can try giving them cute nicknames, this has helped with animals such as raccoons, they were given the nickname of "trashpanda." Hyenas are actually very helpful animals, they are scavengers, they eat the remains of animals that other predators have left behind. They help to clean their environment and prevent infections in their ecosystem.
