CONTINUOUS TENSES

Continuous tenses show duration or continuity.The present continuous and the past continuous are formed from either the present or the past tense of the verb to be + the ‘-ing form’ of the main verb. e.g. "You are reading this magazine right now". "He was talking to his great-grandmother yesterday".

PRESENT CONTINUOUS (USES)

- To talk about actions happening at the moment of speaking and not finished: e.g. Are they buying the tickets at the moment? - For a future plan, with a time reference: e.g. I'm flying to Rome at 7 am.
