1. Purim is noisy. Everytime we hear the word 'Haman' when we read the story of Esther, or the megillah, on Purim, everyone shouts and uses rattles to make a lot of noise.

5. Where do you live? If you live in Jerusalem or any other walled city, you celebrate Purim a day later. This is because it took two days for the Jews who lived in the walled, capital city of Shushan to fight off their enemies. Purim is celebrated on the 15th of the month of Adar, a date often referred to as “Shushan Purim.”
