In order to maximise student teacher opportunities for professional learning, it is expected that student teachers will reflect critically throughout the practicum. This, together with on-going observations will promote the identification of authentic ‘next steps’. .

You will write 5 reflective papers based on different topics. In order to write them, you will conduct some observations.

Instructions

Personal Development paper # 2 : First impressions. understanding subject matter and curriculum goals. For this paper you should follow the observation tasks: The English area, the students and conditions for learning. Once you complete the observations, you write the paper reflecting on the aspects observed.

Personal Development paper # 1: Becoming a reflective teacher. KNOWLEDGE OF TEACHING This first paper presents your beliefs about language, language learning and language teaching.

Personal Develeopmetn paper # 5: Looking toward the future.

Personal Develoment paper # 4: Planning and classroom management. You should observe; Teaching methods, activities, material, and lesson planning.

Personal Development paper # 3: Delivering of Instruction. You should observe: The teacher´s language: questioning and eliciting, and giving instructions, Pacing, andTeacher's role

Weekly Reflections

The journal should include dates and times worked, as well as a brief description of the activities performed on the particular date and any resulting thoughts and/or feelings. It can also be used as a forum for reflection on the frustrations, joys, discoveries, etc. during a particular day.
