today we will be learning about the nine times tables can anyone spot patterns?

9x2=

some pattarens for the nine times table can be easy like 9x1=9 because its always the same number noe how about 9x2= whats the awnser 18 did you get it anyway or like 9x10 its just 9x1 but you add a 0 on the end so it would be 90 did you get it 9x5 is just counting up in 5s so it would be 5 10 15 20 25 30 35 40 45 you did it the awnser is ... 45!

9x table you can also just count with your fingers lets try 9x six so you would count up to your six finger 1 2 3 4 5 6 this is your six finger and how many are on the left side theres five so thats fifty and how many on the right 4 so the awnser would be 54 or try 9x9 so on your 9th finger 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 how manys on the left side you count 80 now on the right is your ones you only have 1 so its 81!

you can do this all the way up to 9x10= well try count with your fingers its?90 there are more patterns see if you can figure all them out .

if you look at the nine times table i could right 0123456789 and next to it wright 9876543210 and i woiuld have just wrote my 9 times table heres an example

if i add them together

0+9=91+8=9 2+7=9 3+6=9 and all the way to ten times nine it always = 9

if we did 6x9 most pepole couldnt think that just of the top of there heads 6 is a big number to times and so is 9 but if we think 6x10=60 6x9 would just be 6 less than that wouldnt it so of you were to take away six it would be 54

so as you can see in the 9 times table there are lots of patterns there are more but we are not going to go over them today so now most of you know your nine times table right jack
