Definition: A video game is a game requiring a device or a video game console for the player to interact in a virtual world.

Video games have different effects on the player they can be good or bad according to the player itself, here are some of the good and bad effects:

Some of the good effects are that videogames make people happier or improve your concentration some people even say that they learned from videogames, you can increase your hand-to-eye coordination or even your attention to details you probably never noticed if you didn't play videogames.

But in the other side it has bad effects such as health problems like headaches or schizophrenia which is worse than headache but also more rare, and there is also videogame addiction or even depression.

So you would ask: are videogames worth playing? because the benefits are good but the health issues could not be worth the risk.

In my opinion videogames are not only worth playing but recomended too, because the majority of bad effects happen less often than the positive effects and if you don't play too munch it as almost no risk at all.
