Processed foods are those that have undergone changes or have undergone some degree of industrial processing before reaching our table so that we can consume them.Food processing makes available to us many products that we would not be able to consume if it were not for this technique, it allows us to acquire seasonal foods throughout the year. Without this process, a great variety of food products that we find in supermarkets and stores would not be available to us. This technique improves food safety through various methods.

One of the most widespread and common recommendations to improve our eating habits is to base our diet mainly on fresh foods, limiting the consumption of processed foods as much as possible. By consuming seasonal products and those that are closest to hand, we are also contributing to respecting the environment.
The Mediterranean diet is the best recommendation if you want to follow a healthy diet, since it minimizes the consumption of processed foods.
It should be borne in mind that the research carried out to develop new foods also favors celiac, lactose intolerant or diabetic people or even people with very minor ailments such as people allergic to sorbitol, since they can have at their disposal products adapted to their needs.
