Our neighbours....

Poland is located at the heart of the European continent (Central Europe). Poland's borders have changed many times over the centuries. Its present borders were set after World War II ended in 1945. Poland borders the Baltic Sea and seven countries: Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania and Russia (enclave of Kaliningrad). The longest border is shared with the Czech Republic.

Our town

Zator is a small town with the population of 9 000 people (whole municipality). It is located about 40 km from Cracow in Lesser Poland.

Due to its numerous fishing ponds famous for carp beeding, Zator is well known as the capital of Carp's Valley.

Our carp figures are traditional. They are placed around the main square. They have some specific names like: Carp Doctor, Carp Painter , Carp Student and more.

All of people in Zator like to find new Carps. They are located nearby the most significant places in Zator. It is an awesome emotion when you find a new Carp figure. They're made from cooper and placed on wood planks. In winter they're covered in snow, and it's very hard to find them.🐟

Carp is our regional specifics. Tourists come to Zator to taste it in a restaurant, for carp fishing or to buy our unique regional carp products.

That's why carp in Zator is just everywhere.It stands for our cultural heritage and the core of our regional tradition.

There are almost 380 students at our school.

Our students are at the age of 7 to 14 so there are 8 grades.

There are from 17 to 24 students in each class and almost in each of them there are a few Ukrainian students escaping from their country after the war started.
