What is Genially?

Genially provides a tool for teaching and learning through interactive learning materials.

It allows you to add interactivity and animation to digital content.

One tool that enables you to create multiple types of content:

  • Presentations
  • Infographics
  • Interactive images
  • Guides
  • Games

There are four types of interactivity:

how to apply interactivity

  • Interactivity can easily be applied to any element on your canvas
  • When you click on an element the interactivity icon will appear above it
  • You can click on the icon to choose the type of interaction you want to apply

animation

  • Clicking on an element will also provide access to the animation tool
  • There are 4 types of animation and a range of effects

Images

  • The images menu allows you to insert images from a range of locations
  • Images can also be inserted in tooltips and windows either from your computer or a URL
  • You can also change images by selecting it on the canvas and clicking on the Replace button

integrating audio & video

  • With Genially, you can integrate and embed various kinds of web content into our creation: from 360º images to spreadsheets, from social media posts to interactive games.
Audio
  • Click on the Insert menu
  • You can record audio
  • Paste a link to an audio file
  • Uploading a file is a Premium feature
Video
  • There are 2 options for embedding video
  • You can paste a link to a Yout tube or Vimeo video
  • You can upload a video frpom Google Drive
Embed
  • You can also embed external content from a range of sources by copying the embed code

publishing

  • If you want to share your resource you will need to publish it
  • Just to the right of the name of your creation, you'll find a button that indicates the status of your creation. Click on the buttons to see what each status means
To Publish
  • You can publish from the editor mode while creating a resource
  • Or fram the main panel
  • Click on the icons below to find out more
