I will be going through a few slides on why I should be Vice + More!Including qualties, suggestions for the department and more! Hope you like it <3 << Don't mind the horrendous quality x

Game Moderation Dept.

Values

Our values are kindness, we make sure everyone playing our game has a great time. Not bias, we are the least bias department, we don't promote people just because we like them, we'd have to see if they are actually doing well, we punish people even if they're our friends. Our values reach out to so many! And many other values we hold as a whole department.

Our mission here in the Game Moderation Department is to rid Aerborne of it's trollers. We take great care to make sure every troller we see get the right punishment.

We're the most imporant departments in the entirety of Aerborne. We make sure everyone in Aerborne is safe, we exile people, rank people, moderate and so much more. We are the department that does the most events and more! You all give your all in this department, and I couldn't be happier to work in this department with you all! Our department will soon be welcoming more game moderators, and I hope they'll do as well as you all!

Why you should vote for me and why I should be Vice!

You should vote for me, as I have quite close friendships with the majority of you all, and I do speak to most of you fairly often! I make sure I communicate with people all across Aerborne, whether this was in-game or Discord. I know the rules well in-game, and in Discord, when I see people being rude in-game, I take moderation action, and in Discord, I do tell them what they’re doing is wrong. Additionally, I will give my all, I’ve been active in Aerborne since the first they accepted me as an OS, and haven’t missed a day of at least saying a word in the Discord server! I’ve made sure I have a good activity and communication mainly in this group, mainly because it’s the easiest way to have people recognise you from somewhere in Aerborne, even though I forget most people and they say they remember me :’), my memory isn’t good enough to remember the hundreds of people I’ve met aha! But I do still try my best and speak in the community. Giving my opinions in debates and more. I would also like to be Vice, as I feel like I give good advice, I can help with tougher decisions, and as a whole, I know how things run in the department. I do make sure I speak to moderators when they’re online, so you can see I am communicative within the community as a whole! To everyone, staff or not! I also know the rules of Aerborne, and will be able to enforce them, even if they give me a hard time doing so.

What useful qualities do I have?

A few useful qualities is definitely communication, I speak a lot to everyone in the community, as well as the staff team. Communication is important in being a vice, as if you don’t communicate with the head when let’s say a staff member said they’d exploit, then they’d never know, and would never be able to stop them before it’s too late. And you should communicate with the rest of the department, as it doesn’t show any sign of leadership, you should be able to have a good enough relationship with most moderators! Another useful quality is activity, I’m online quite a bit, apart from the times I’m in school and/or in events. Other then that, I will usually have access to at least my phone, making me capable of helping/answering staff members questions! Or just usual community members, it doesn’t matter who, but as a Vice you can’t be offline too much! Additionally, a quality I hold is patience, we sometimes do get fairly annoying people, whether this is in-game or just Discord, it’s sometimes hard to keep patience with them, but I’m always able to keep my calm, and make sure I am able to stop them from overstepping boundaries, whether this is by saying that they’ve been rude to multiple people, and to stop, which surprisingly works quite a bit for me in Discord aha! Or if I have to take moderation action [Or ask someone to do so, if on Discord]. Another quality is open-mindedness/creativity, creativity can help with making changes in the Department, different things could be added in, as well as having to be open-minded to different opinions during important discussions. As there can be a never-ending list of solutions.

My accomplishments in the department!

I have a few accomplishments, my first, is as a whole really being active in a group, I’ve worked in so many groups during my 2 years in Roblox, mainly hotel related, and I have never stayed in a department for so long. I do like Aerborne and it’s community, especially the Game Moderation Dep. Everyone’s so welcoming, and you’ve all been so nice. Which is why me staying in a group for so long is quite a big accomplishment, as I’ve never been that bored that I decided to resign.Another accomplishment is making it from a Game Moderator, to a Senior Staff member, and now a Supervisor. This is a huge accomplishment, not only because I’ve been in the department for just 6-7 months, but just because getting all the way to Supervisor is literally one of the best things that’s happened to me in Aerborne, it’s the 3rd highest in the department, and I couldn’t be more thankful about such a thing! Additionally, I also am quite happy about this accomplishment, this is more of a goal I had, this was me getting to one thousand logs since I started, not much for an accomplishment, but it was a goal after I found out I reached 800 logs :)!

How will I help our department/Do I have any suggestions to make this department better?

I have a few ways of helping our department, one is doing more events, could be thought of as a weird suggestion, but let me elaborate, we’d choose team working games, this is to strengthen friendships within the department, and help with teamwork as a whole, as team work is quite an important thing to work on in this department. As well as to work on communication! One other suggestion I have, a test, this test every game moderator and senior [perhaps supervisor], will answer questions on a Google Forms, these will be scenario questions and basic moderation questions, my goal for this, is to see the people who aren’t 100% about how the department runs, and to see whether they’ve been inactive, if you don’t get it the first time, you can have a week, and during that week you could try and find the question, don’t ask others, but research around the server, [we’ll tell you which ones you get wrong], and then you can take it again, and hopefully pass. As we do want everyone to know how to do things in the department. And a quiz is the easiest way, every 3ish months. We wouldn’t add a question you wouldn’t be able to know, so it won’t be too hard to pass if you know your stuff. This can also help us with knowing who knows enough for promotions perhaps. Finally for the suggestions I’ll state here, meetings, meetings are important to inform people in current plans, it isn’t as good as an announcement, as you can’t ask questions and everyone can hear us answer them. Meetings are easier to get the point across in some parts, and easier to communicate with the staff members straight away, so instead of waiting hours later for a question/answer! Meetings could happen during important issues, and maybe a consistent amount of meetings, perhaps every 3 weeks, and they may be called off if there’s nothing important enough to speak about. In my opinion, this will come out to play as fairly important and useful in V2, as we’re expecting so many more members in the department, and more players, this does mean there may be more problems, or more good information! And for everyone to know, it’ll be a meeting. So we can all speak about it, and ask questions as easy as possible. And it can show activity within the higher ups and game moderators!

What my current role is:

My current role is Supervisor, 3rd in command, this role is fairly important, some of our many duties are, first of all, banning community members, most of us Game Moderators have seen exploiters, or people who just deserve a temporary ban, we fill a game-wide-request out, from this request, supervisors have to go in-game to ban the user! Whether it’s a temporary ban or permanent ban, we have the privilege to ban them. There needs to be lot’s of trust for such a duty! Another duty we have to do, is applications, every year we open our applications a few times, they all have to be checked through, and that’s done by me, Michelle, Eric and Lauren. The Game Moderation Employment Committee members. We read applications, go through background checks, and even interview people, we go through all these processes to pick out the most fitting people! Especially as having admin is quite a privilege, we have to be careful on who we pick! And honestly, the moderators we have now are doing well, so in my opinion, we chose well! My final word of duties we have, out of a few others, are promotions, demotions and suspensions. Senior+ always speak to each other about such things, we do this monthly due to reforms, and sometimes if people misbehave, we have to speak about it whenever. We all give our input to the final decision, all our suggestions on the promotion/demotion/suspension. No one’s suggestion is left out, to make sure our end results are far from biased! We do overstep our duties quite a bit, for example I did help looking for a new type of website like Hyra, I checked a few, and we were able to find out EastSide was opening their doors to activity tracking, which will be out on the 21st! [Before or after I am writing this]. This allows us to do the same things as Hyra, apart from inactivity notices, also known as INs, they seem to have no future plan, but it could come out soon! So you would just have to DM the head of department [Aka Lauren]!
