  • Send out information about what time they should be at the office and how they can get there. If remote, what time they should log on for standup
  • A message from “work buddy"

Welcome Pack

Email Set Up

Check that IT Equipment has arrived

Send instructions to personal email on how to get set up on Outlook/Slack.

Payroll & Immigration

Completion of all info pertaining to payroll. (P45 etc) and immigration checks

The First Day

What to expect

Ideally this should be a Tuesday or Wednesday so the new person is not overwhelmed by starting on a Monday. It will also be good to have a short week(positive reinforcement).

  • Office welcome and tour - if applicable (Ideally at 10:30am)
  • Systems set up
  • HR orientation
  • IT Orientation (plug ins, expenses, sourcing tools, CharlieHR)
  • Role/performance info
  • Team Lunch
  • Overview of company strategy, mission, value, goals, history and intro to the teams and how we work.

The First Week

What to expect

Intro to all Troi team structure and how we work

  • 1-1s with team members from each function (Tech, Support, Operations, Office)
  • Intro coffee with your work buddy.
  • Book your first One-On-One: During this one-on-one, it may be wise to talk just to see how things have been going and if you can help out with anything.
  • Set up easy week goals: Book a session with the employee and set the week-goals for the first two weeks. Remember that they should be just enough challenging to be relevant.
  • LEAVE ON TIME:-)

What to expect

14 day check-in: Book a meeting and review the employees first two weeks. What has been good and what could be made better?

  • Discuss Role Plans
  • Share a plan for success in your first 90 days
  • Personal development plan
  • Check in on how the first month has gone
  • Learning more about our company culture and tone of voice
  • A chance for you to give us feedback on your onboarding
  • Team Dinner (would be nice so we can check in)
