WHAT IS APPENDICITIS?

Appendicitis is a swelling of the appendix caused by a blockage or obstruction. It can be serious if the appendix becomes infected or perforated

SYMPTOMS

Costant pain in the abdomen, the pain worsens when you cough, walk or make different sudden movements. The patient can present anxiety, vomiting and tachycardia.

COMPLICATIONS

If the appendicitis get worse you can find more symptoms, like loss of apetite, with this symptom you can get anorexia, and fever .

CAUSES

Appendicitis is caused by a jam in the recovering on the appendix that cretaes an infection, so bacterias they multiply and the appendix becomes inflamed.

TREATMENT

Surgery is almost always used to extract the appendix. Although you can take some antibiotics.

PREVENTIONS

There isn't way to prevent appendicitis, but some investigations say that people that eat food high in fibres, like fresh fruits or vegetables have less possibilities to get it .

IMPORTANT TO KNOW....

The first sing of appendicitis is a pain around the navel.

There is a higher percentage of men with appendicitis than women.
