  • The subject in a sentence with gustar or encantar usually FOLLOWS the verb.

Preferir= to prefer

  • Preferir has regular -IR verb endings
  • In the yo, tú, él/ella/Ud., and ellos/ellas/Uds. forms, the -e- closest to the verb ending changes to -ie-.The nosotros and vosotros stems remain regular.
Examples of Preferir in Use:
  • ¿Prefieres el azul o el verde? = "Do you prefer blue or green?"
  • (Yo) prefiero el azul. = "I prefer blue."
