What I liked and didn't like...

MISERY Robert Reiner 1990

GENERAL REVIEW:

This extract simply gave me the thrills! In a good way though! What striked me the most is the element of suspense and my anxiety that turned into fear when I felt that something was off... It really shows us how an instable person that is way too possessive just like Annie Wikes can show us that everything is possible for love. GENERAL SCORE: I really enjoyed it

GENERAL REVIEW:

This extract left me uneasy, to be fair... I am simply too sensible concerning mental and abstract violence and discrimination so it was hard for me to enjoy the masterpiece of the scene. I felt really bad for the narator because she did not want any bad stuff happening to Maxime but she still got the blame for it like a scapegoat. GENERAL SCORE: I didn't like it...

GENERAL REVIEW:

This extract left me shocked and relieved. Indeed, I myself have watched the movie and read the books. But for someone that didn't know the existence of Twilight and only knew the scenes before this one, it must have been really frightening since Edward is a very quiet person in his social life. GENERAL SCORE: I loved it!!

ANIMAL FARM GEORGE ORWELL 1945

GENERAL REVIEW:

This magnificent book got me attracted from the start till the very end. Even thhough it was a scholar's book, I myself took some of my own free time to enjoy this book alone in my room. and I'll definetely read it again.. I especially loved how Georges Orwell debunked the past communist systems and how they fonctionned (such as the U.S.S.R) and transmitted it into a kid's tale. Absolutely brilliant. GENERAL SCORE: I loved it!

THE HANDMAID'S TALE, 2017

An American dystopian TV series created by Bruce Miller, based on the 1985 novel by canadian author Margaret Atwood.

GENERAL REVIEW:

Its series left me puzzled about how this can apply into today's society. With the liberalisation of the so called "degeneracy" within the youth as well as more equual rights between women and men, these series and storyline can show us how our current society and its ideals can change tomorrow without any real difficulty. GENERAL SCORE: I loved it!

GENERAL REVIEW:

A very good suprise in fact! This type of genre concerning flims is not my preference but I loved how this extract showed me something deeper than the appearence. It developed the theme of loyalty till the end and that we only live once. So might as well have fun even if it's for a short time. GENERAL SCORE: I really enjoyed it.

This extract was overall pretty good in theory. Chandler respects correctly the style of his character but even though he does, I think this scene is way too exaggerated to a point where it's not even comfortable. But I suppose that was the point. of these series all along. GENERAL SCORE: Not the greatest

GENERAL REVIEW:

I love the fact that this movie not only goes on the big details of war but also focuses mainly on the main character that is experiencining it. We can truly see by that interpretation the consequences of wars to the individual level wich is a very, very good point of that film., as it's perfectly potrayed in tha scene. GENERAL SCORE: I really liked it

THAT 2000 YARD STARE Thomas Lea 1944

GENERAL REVIEW:

When I look at this painting, I feel some sort of chills crawling down my spine but in a good way. The way that the solider looks at you with empty eyes just describes so much how war has litteraly destroyed him for life.. And the fact that he is a simple private makes to us the representation of a big majority of soliders during war time.. GENERAL SCORE: I really enjoyed it.

GENERAL REVIEW:

You see, at the beggining of this book, I was really confused on what was actually the main topic of it because of the divergence of subjects that are really active concerning Christopher. But I realised that this interresting way to present a book is actually the most realistic one since we know that it's Christopher's diary and that he as Asperger's syndrom. So I like the book by the aspect that I don't like.. GENERAL SCORE: I really liked it.

GENERAL REVIEW:

I liked the message of this trailer. You see, once Shaun was introduced, everyone was suspicious of him in terms of his skills because he had autism.. And so even by this fact, Shaun didn't give up and he was in the end well respected by his team.. It shows us that everyone has a place in the world if we don't give up and let ourselves down by some groups of people. GENERAL SCORE: I really enjoyed it.
