HOPE - AMMEL UAE
In a study titled “From Cradle to Cane: The Cost of Being a Female Consumer,” New York City’s Department of Consumer Affairs tracked Price disparities in otherwise comparable items offered to male and female buyers were tracked. Researchers discovered that the so-called "pink tax" doesn't simply apply to shampoo and razors—women pay more for practically every product over the course of their life, from infant garments to home health care goods, after comparing the pricing of almost 800 products across 35 categories. Another reason for the high prices is the covid-19 pandemic. The worldwide supply chain has been affected by the coronavirus epidemic, forcing businesses to adjust to changing needs. Procter & Gamble has announced price increases for infant care, feminine care, and adult incontinence products. As a result, many women and mothers are unable to afford these vital health goods. This is why I choose to donate to HOPE. Hope-Amel UAE is a social network for moms in the UAE to support one another and their children. The objective of the organization is to give assistance and support to women and mothers who are going through tough circumstances. Since July 2020, Hope-Amel UAE has assisted over 2000 families around the UAE.
ME DONATING
UNICEF
Over a decade of humanitarian crises and wars has had a significant influence on the circumstances of children in Syria, the region, and beyond. Every Syrian kid has been affected by the violence, displacement, severed family relationships, and lack of access to essential services brought about by tremendous physical damage.More than 13.4 million people require humanitarian aid, a figure that is expected to rise from over 11 million in 2020. This includes 3 million disabled individuals and 7 million internally displaced people. The escalation is being pushed by a severe economic crisis, which is exacerbating the effects of increasing regional wars, mass relocation, widespread public service infrastructure destruction, and the COVID-19 pandemic. Millions of Syrian children require humanitarian aid in some way or another. UNICEF and partners are working on the ground in Syria and across the region to protect children, assist them in coping with the effects of violence, and help them reclaim their childhoods. This includes increasing access to education and psychosocial support services to assist children and caregivers in recovering from trauma and reestablishing a sense of normalcy, as well as delivering crucial humanitarian aid in hard-to-reach locations. Therefore, I've decided to contribute 100dhs to UNICEF in order to help Syrian children in surviving the winter.
