WHY?

To reinforce with trainees the importance of reading, not only for life but to get a job in a call center, and improve their English with new vocabulary.

We apply book quiz on week 2 day 4

HOW TO USE KAHOOT?

This is the first, and one of the most important steps of this guide. IF YOU DON’T HAVE AN ACCOUNT OR YOU HAVE THE WRONG TYPE, YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO DO THE TEST APPROPRIATELY OR CHECK CLASS RESULTS. So please read with close attention and follow the steps carefully.

CREATING A KAHOOT ACCOUNT:

STEP 1.

The first step is to access www.kahoot.com Once you are on the website, click on the option SIGN UP.

SELECT the option Teacher

STEP 2.

STEP 3.

In the workplace selection, click on the option: SCHOOL

In the next screen, please enter your institutional email and password.

STEP 4.

Click on the option SIGN UP.

When the website asks you to pick a subscription, pick CONTINUE FOR FREE.

In the next screen please select the option MAYBE LATER

STEP 6.

Done. Now you are ready to do the tests with your trainees.

When you get to this screen you need to select the option PLAY.

In the following screen select the option TEACH.

Please make sure before you start with the quiz that the option in GENERAL – SHOW QUESTION AND ANSWER ON PLAYERS’ DEVICE IS ON You might ignore the other options.

STEP 4.

Know you can start the quiz to play click on CLASSIC.

Now here is a reproduction of what you and your trainee should be able to see at this point.

At this point in their device (cellphone, tablet, computer) the trainee needs to access the website: www.kahoot.it

Once the trainee is there, they need to enter the PIN they see in the main view:

Next, click on the start button and the test will start:

Once the trainee enters the pin, they will be asked to type a nickname. THEY MUST TYPE THEIR FIRST AND LAST NAME.

STEP 8.

Trainee’s name should now be displayed on the main screen:

IMPORTANT INFO ABOUT THE TEST:

It will display the main question for a couple of seconds and then the trainee will have 30 seconds to select the correct option on their devices.

After each question, you just need to click on NEXT to continue to the following question.

At the end of the quiz, the website will show a podium with the highest scores from the class:

GETTING THE TRAINEES RESULTS:

Now in this screen, you will see some general results from the test, but we need the scores per TRAINEE, so, click on the option VIEW FULL REPORT.

On the same screen where we left, you will see a button called NEXT or ASK FOR FEEDBACK, click it.

NOW, a page with detailed results will pop up. You need to click on the option PLAYERS.

It will ask you for a confirmation, so click on the option VIEW REPORT.

GETTING THE TRAINEES RESULTS:

Here, you will be able to see the specific scores of your trainees.

In the correct answers section, you will see the results of the trainees on a percentage scale.  If a trainee for example has a 75% as a result, it means they got a 7.5 on the test. SUBMIT THE SCORE IN THE HOMEWORK TRACKER BY DOUBLE-CLICKING IN THE BOOK QUIZ BOX

IF A STUDENT MISSED THE BOOK QUIZ. WE NEED TO SET CLEAR EXPECTATIONS SINCE DAY 1 THAT IF YOU MISS THE QUIZ YOU WON’T BE ABLE TO RETAKE IT. THE FINAL SCORE WILL BE 0.
