Split is a 2016 American psychological horror film, written, developed, and produced by M. Night Shyamalan, that stars James McAvoy, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Betty Buckley.

In broad daylight, after a normal birthday party at a mall, the clueless art-class schoolmates Casey, Claire, and Marcia fall victim to the creepy predator, Kevin Wendell Crumb, a man suffering from Dissociative Identity Disorder. Not one but twenty-three distinct and suppressed personalities live inside Kevin. However, from the horde that harasses him, some identities are, inevitably, more sinister than others. Sooner or later, the 24th "Beast" persona will emerge in all its glory, as a fusion of Kevin's qualities, and the highest form of human evolution. Nevertheless, is the feared monster real, or is it a figment of Crumb's morbidly demented imagination?
