THE BUCKINGHAM PALACE
is the London residence of the monarch of the United Kingdom.
There are 775 rooms, including 19 state rooms, 52 principal bedrooms, 188 staff bedrooms, 92 offices, and 78 bathrooms.There are also 760 windows and 1,514 doors. Over 800 members of staff live there, including a clockmaker. The palace has 350 clocks and watches! Buckingham Palace’s garden is the largest private garden in London. It includes a helicopter landing area, a lake, and a tennis court. There, the Queen hosts her annual garden parties every summer.

The Union Flag, or Union Jack, is the national flag of the United Kingdom. The flag is made up of three other flags - the kingdoms of England, Scotland and Ireland.
THE TOWER BRIDGE
The bridge crosses the River Thames. It is an iconic symbol of London. The central span of the bridge can be raised to allow ships to pass. Over 40,000 people use Tower Bridge every day. The moving parts of the bridge are called bascules. The bus driver Albert Gunte was driving a double decker bus over the bridge in 1952, when he realised the bridge was opening. He jumped over to the other bascule.

THE DOUBLE-DECKER BUS
is a bus that has two storeys or decks.
This bus was created in 1829. It carried 22 people and were pulled by three horses. During the week, London Buses carry over six million passengers per day. According to Top Gear, the fastest type of bus is a double-decker.

THE LONDON EYE
is the huge observation wheel.
It is the tallest wheel in Europe. London Eye has got 32 capsules but you will not find the capsule number 13 because it`s unlucky. There were 5,000 proposals in the London Eye’s capsules. A trip all around the London Eye takes about 30 minutes in total.

BIG BEN
is the nickname for the Great Bell of the striking clock.
The tower itself is called Elizabeth Tower, and the huge bell inside is called Big Ben. Only UK residents are allowed to visit Big Ben. All visitors must be more than eleven years old, and must be able to climb all 334 steps without assistance.

Elizabeth reigns for 68 years. She hasn`t got a passport and driving lisence but she travels a lot. Elizabeth loves corgis very much. She had more than 30 corgis during her reign. The Queen got some strange gifts during her reign, some of them were live animals. Among these are two black beavers from Canada, Jaguars, and sloths from Brazil and a bull elephant. These animals are in the London Zoo now.
