BACKGROUND

Community College Kuala Langat (KKKL) started operating on a temporary campus at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bandar Banting, Jalan Persiaran Majlis, Banting on 1 April 2003 and moved to the main campus in December 2003 at Jalan Ubi, Jugra which is now known as Jalan Sultan Suleiman Shah. A total of 50 pilot students started their studies at the temporary Campus on 17 June 2003.

KKKL offers two courses at the certificate level, namely the Information Technology Certificate and the Business Accounting Certificate for the first intake. In the June 2004 session, Electrical Technology Certificate Course (Installation), Furniture Manufacturing Certificate as well as Tourism and Travel Certificate were offered. Currently, KKKL offers one Diploma program and six Certificate Programs.

Apart from full -time programs, KKKL also conducts short courses in accordance with local demand to provide opportunities for the community to increase their skills and knowledge in various fields such as cooking, religion, sewing, computing and so on.
