Animals which only live in New Zealand

New Zealand has a great number of interesting animals which only live in New Zealand! For example the Kiwi. The kiwi is the national symbol of New Zealand and arguably one of the cutest birds in the world. Aswell there are Maui dolphins, wekas and yellow-eye-penguins.

New Zealand's flora

New Zealand is aswell know for it's beautiful Flora! The woods are covering 38% of the land. Compared to Germany its actually pretty impressive! In all, 33% of Germany's land area is forest. But aswell we need to take a look at the size of Germany compared to the size of New Zealand! New Zealand is 268.021 km² big. Germany, on the other hand, is 357.386 km² big so its hard to compare.

You may wonder: "How many plant species are endemic to New Zealand?" There are an estimated 1,984 species, subspecies, varieties or forms that are endemic to New Zealand which is 82.2% of the New Zealand flora.Germany has 10,300 plant species which way more!

But Is it worth it travelling to New zealand?

I Really think it's an amazing experience and that you should really give it a try!
