Eskimo is the common name used for the different ancestral peoples that inhabit the arctic regions of North America: Alaska, Canada and Greenland.

Inuit live in the tundras. The Eskimo dwelling is divided into two types: summer and winter1. The igloo is a small house made of snow, they are built with blocks of snow. 2. The tipi is a conical shaped tent made from the hides of the animals they hunted. One of the main advantages of this asymmetric shape is to facilitate protection from strong winds.

They develop a nomadic life, following the migrations of the animals they hunt, among which caribou, bears, whales and seals can be highlighted.
