Cortes is a mycologist city because is located in a good place between the Parque de los Alcornocales y Sierra de Grazalema . In this place grow a lot of types of mushrooms. Every years the mycological days are held in the city.The expert and the families go to the field and pick mushrooms.Later they classify them. The most of mushrooms there are to own consumption,rarely the people sell it .

• Pleurotus eryngii (seta de cardo)

The mushroom is one of the best known in Spain, where it is highly appreciated for its taste and collected as food.

• Craterellus cornucopioideoides(Trompeta de los Muertos )

A possible origin for the name "trumpet of the dead" is that the growing mushrooms were seen as being played as trumpets by dead people under the ground. The fruiting body does not have a separation into stalk and cap, but is shaped like a funnel expanded at the top, normally up to about 10 centimetres tall and .5–7 cm in diameter, but said to grow exceptionally to 15 cm tall. The upper and inner surface is black or dark grey, and rarely yellow. The lower and outer fertile surface is a much lighter shade of grey. The fertile surface is more or less smooth but may be somewhat wrinkled.

• Lactarius delicious (Níscalo)

Is one of the best known members of the large milk-cap genus Lactarius in the order Russulales. It is found in Europe and has been accidentally introduced to other countries under conifers and can be found growing in pine plantations. A fresco in the Roman town of Herculaneum appears to depict Lactarius deliciosus and is one of the earliest pieces of art to illustrate a fungus

To have a good conservation we can do the next examples : -When you pick the mushrooms you should have a basket so that the spores fall back to the ground and grow again. -Keep the environment clean to have a better production . -To take care and not hurt the environment .
