Detecting and retaining female talent is a key issue in gender equality policies.
From this perspective, resignations are always a failure: very often, they are justified by strictly personal reasons, and they reinforce the stereotype of women's supposedly lesser appetite for professional challenges.
It is vital to go beyond personal reasons, which are often pretexts. The only valid question is: what could and should we have done to avoid them?
To begin the reflection, I personally ask myself what could push me to resign.
