Adjectives are one of the four major word classes, along with nouns, verbs and adverbs. Examples of adjectives are: big, small, blue, old, rich and nice. They give us more information about people, animals or things represented by nouns and pronouns. "Possessive adjectives: words such as 'my', 'your', 'his', 'her', 'its', 'our' and 'their' that are used to show possession or relationship to something or someone."

let's see some differences between Spanish and English in possesive adjectives

En español, al preguntar por posesión, se utiliza el pronombre posesivo antes del sustantivo. ¿Dónde está tu libro? (Where is your book?) En inglés, al preguntar por posesión, se utiliza el pronombre posesivo después del verbo "to be" o antes del sustantivo: Is this your book? (¿Es este tu libro?) "Whose" book is this? (¿De quién es este libro?)Whose book is this?" ("Whose" es un pronombre interrogativo posesivo que significa "de quién" en español, y "your" se utiliza para referirse a la segunda persona del singular, indicando posesión).
