SCOTLAND

Scotland was cretaed since 10,000 years ago, when humans began to inhabit it after the end of the ice age. It begins with the arrival of the Roman Empire in Great Britain, when the Romans occupied what is now England and Wales. From the beginning of the 7th to the 13th century, it was the Celts who were in charge of the Scottish crown. Actually its capital is Edinburgh.

TRANSPORT

We leave Algeciras at 6 am to go to Malaga Airport by car. Once at the airport, we will leave our car in the Costa del Sol car park. The parking costs 4 euros per day, 40.78 pounds. Once we have left the car, we check-in our bags before taking the plane to Scotland. We decided to fly with RYANAIR company as it is one of the cheapest, we paid 229.39 pounds in total.Once landed at Edinburgh, we will take a taxi to take us to the hotel, which is located near the old town (Edinburgh House Hotel). We will stay from 12th to 15th December, and will pay 37.38 pounds per night. We have booked a table in Abbey Bar restaurant for dinner at 80 pounds.

FAMOUS PLACES

In the morning we will have the breakfast at the he hotel's buffet. Then we will walk to the holyrood palace. In the afternoon we will take a bus for 1.50 pounds per person, which will take us to Loch Ness. Later we will go to the Boathouse for lunch for 59.47 pounds. Once we have visited Loch Ness, we will come back to the hotel. On the next day 14th of December, we will visit the monument to Walter Scott, the kelvingrove museum with the help of a tour guide. There we will have some sandwiches that we prepared the day before and will spend all day in that area. We will take a bus to come back to the hotel.

Small Kingdoms formed Wales as Gwyredd, Powys, Dehevbarth while the British were converting to Christianity, languages and cultures were divided and formed different groups, the largest group are the welsh and they became independent from other British- speaking people in the middle of eleventh century .Gruffyd and llyweeyn came to control all the Kingdoms of welsh, its current capital is Cardiff.

HOW DO WE GET TO WALES

We will take a train from Edinburgh to Cardiff, tickets wil cost 312.89 pounds. Departing time is at 13.05 and will arrive at 20.26. We have hired a car for 354.93 pounds to go to the hotel. We will pay for the acommodation 645.77 pounds. The day after, we will go to Conwoy Castle where we will pay 33.9 pounds to enter. We will stay all day in the castle. Our second day in Wales, we will visit St. David´s Cathedral and the National museum. For the third day, we have planned to see the Wales Millenium Center. The following day we will go to the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park where will spend all the day.

It was colonized by the Romans around 43 AD. Since then, England was invaded by a series of Germanic peoples (Angles, Saxons and Jutes) who expelled the Celts, partially Romanized, towards Wales, Scotland, Cornwall and French Brittany.

It existed from 927, when the kingdoms of the Anglo-Saxon Heptarchy were united. Between 1649 and 1660, England was a republic with the name of Commonwealth of England. In 1707England and the Kingdom of Scotland were united to form the Kingdom of Great Britain.

We will take a bus to get to England for 66.14 pounds. Upon arrival we will take a taxi for 17.09 pounds totake us to the hotel in Notting Hill where we will have a lunch in the buffet. the accommodation will cost 29.92 pounds per night, 119.7 pounds for four days. The first day we will visit The London Eye. We will go on foot as it is not far from our hotel. Riding the Ferris wheel will cost us 25 pounds per person. After eating we will see The Library House where we will pay 50 pounds to get in. In the evening we will vist some local markets.

The next day we will have the breakfast at the hotel and visist The Big-Ben, it is a large tower of 96m. Then we will taste a very famous dish called "Fish and Chips" at The Red Lion restaurant for 30 pounds. On our third day we will have again the breakfast at the hotel and we will go to The Hyde Park. The last day in England, we have planned to visit The Kergington Palace. We bought the plane tickets to go back Malaga for the following day.
