01. Moscow State Mining University

By 1921 the departments were transformed into universities.____________________________ In 1930 Moscow Mining Academy was divided into six independent institutes.

02. Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys

On the basis of the metallurgical faculty of Moscow Mining Academy Institutes of Steel (until 1958) and of Non-ferrous metals and Gold were organized. _______________________________________ In 1962, on the basis of Institute of Steel and a number of faculties of Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals and Gold, MISIS was created. _______________________________________ In 1993 the university received the status of a technological university.
