Coral reefs
What can kill them?
What keeps them alive?
Most reef-building corals rely on zooxanthella, a small algae that grows inside of them, to photosynthesize.
Sediments can settle directly on top of corals and smother them. Second, sediments in the water affect water clarity, making the coral unable to recieve sunlight.
SEDIMENT FILTER
Ready for our project?
What is the sediment filter?
The sediment filter is a small prototype wich purpose is to extract the most amount of sediment posible from the coral reef, with this we expect to make a difference on the amount of coral reefs that we can now find dead.
this is Henry 2.0
sediment filter
This is Henry our sediment filter which purpose is only to help reefs, Henry is like a small vaccum who's main reason is to extract sediment from corals for them to be able to photosynthesize without many barriers because of sediment.
Henry absorbs the dirty water and inside of him their is a mechanism that makes the water clean for the coral.
