Exclusionary vs. inclusionary zoning

Exlusionary zoning is using zoning and zoning ordinances to discriminated and exclude certain areas mostly based on raceThis really affects the economy and living situation of those living in these zones as high end buildings aren't allowed to be built in these areas. So funding in these areas is low meaning government buildings such as schools stay poor. These areas are often mainly inhabited by people of color and zoning of these areas are usually racially discrimatory.

Inclusionary zoning has policies on zones that allows for more oppourtunites to the people living there by allowing the construction of higher end buildings. This brings more funding to the zone and creates more economic equity in the zone.
