To know the effects of heat on bodies: dilatation and changes of state, differentiating between heat and temperature.
Also since temperature is measured indirectly through thermometric quantities. As we will see, we will use the values of these quantities in certain fixed states to calibrate thermometers, thus establishing a scale. Examples of these fixed states are freezing or boiling water.
Materials
Glass container.
Painting.
Paint brush.
Water.
Thermometer.
Procedure
Wash the glass container well.
Paint the container in the color that you got.
Pour water into the already painted container.
Check the temperature with the thermometer and note it down.
Put it at sun.
Check your temperature every 30 minutes to see the change.
