They all introduce a note of contrast and disagreement, but they have different ways of being used in the sentences. For example their placement may vary. Some are more often used at the beginning, some at the end and others in the middle.

• Although / though / even though (means "aunque" in Spanish) – need a full clause/ sentence (subject + verb). It is used for introducing a new statement that makes the main statement surprising.

Example: Although she loves her job, she decided to quit.

• Despite /In spite of (means "a pesar de" in Spanish ) – take a Gerund (ing form) or noun. It is used to show something which happen without being affected by something else

Example: In spite of warnings, he did not take any precautions

• Yet, / Still /However / Nevertheless – (Means "todavia, aun, sin embargo, no Obstante") – need a comma (,) and come in the middle of two clauses.

Example: The weather was snowy, yet it was not cold. That man has much money. However, he is not happy at all. The place was so beautiful, nevertheless, we do not want to spend our holiday here.

Highlight the ones you like the most. You should consider the personality traits needed in each career and match your personality. However, you should remember that you can learn and adapt your personality if you love a specific career.

Although many people can suggest many careers, you are the only one to decide. You should keep in mind that if you love your job, you could face any obstacle.
