The French representatives were called X, Y and Z.
France wanted a $10 million bribe from the U.S.
The Advisors names were Charles Pinckney, Elbridge Gerry, and John Marshall.
France only stole the ships because they were mad that the U.S wouldn't help them in their time of need.
America threatened France with war if they wouldn't give the ships back.
Important People In The X, Y and Z
Charles Pinckney, Elbridge Gerry, and John Marshall were the representatives sent to talk to the French about getting their ships back.
The French Representatives were known as X, Y, and Z. They were called this by the U.S Representatives.
Another important person was John Adams, because he was the president of the U.S during that time, and he sent out the three U.S representatives.
