FIRST DAY OF CLASS

The first day of class is something important and an opportunity to introduce yourself as an academic or teacher. Some points must be taken to have an inviting classroom:

DISCUSS AND ASSESS THE ROOM ENVIRONMENT TOGETHER:Discuss and assess the room environment together: Course overview; provides a map of the lesson, from when it starts to finish. Present the material, what will be possible for them to be successful in the material. Class time expectations; How will the student feel confident in their classroom? Tell them everything they can hope for to progress within your classroom.

Personal biography; Educational biography; Teaching biography;

ALLOW STUDENTS TO INTRODUCE TEMSELVES:Let them explain where they came from, wrap the material together with the presentations, giving them the option to form pairs, introduce themselves to each other and then introduce themselves to the class. Also take a quiz, the Background Knowledge Probe.

Student responsibilities: If attendance is required or participation is mandatory, explain to your students that this is expected of them throughout the semester.
